We went to see Dr. Ferrier today and confirmed that Emma has come down a bit. There is still no progress on the cervix, but she's no longer saying it will be a while. She just told me that I'll get more and more pressure as things move along and if we have any signs to give her a call. Okay, it's starting to get real now. Emma could come any day.
We also went for a consultation with a pediatrician this morning. Dave and I both walked out of there and immediately agreed that we wouldn't step foot back in that office again. To start off it was in the first floor of an apartment building with really low ceilings and the office looked like a converted apartment. The place was a pigsty and didn't appear to be clean at all. We weren't much impressed with the staff of the doctor either, who came walking through the door after we had been there waiting. She rushed through the consult (since she had a patient waiting since she was late) and pretty much made us feel pretty uneasy. So, we're back to square one with the pediatrician....
We learned today that if my water breaks before I start contracting the doctor will induce me. Since I tested positive for Strep B they want to eliminate any risk of the bacteria infecting Emma so they start labor rather quickly. She said only 15% of women break their water before contractions start so we have a low chance of that happening but still something to keep in mind.
No other news to report. Just still trying to find help...ugh.
Love to all.
