We're back from the beach and after days of unpacking and catching up with work I finally find myself with some time to post. We had a great time at the beach but I have come home just as pale as when I left, aside from a few freckles on my cheeks. I've never been one to soak up the sun, but it would be nice to come home from vacation some time and look like I've been somewhere!
We stayed in a nice 3 bedroom house "
Surf Shack" just a block from the beach on 30th street in Sunset Beach, NC. We're talking about getting one house to share with the whole family next year, but our options are limited with Cooper and the amount of people we have.

Emma LOVED the water and the sand. I think she's going to be a beach baby for sure - she took to the ocean very well and splashed so much she had water drops coming off her eyelashes. She tried to eat the sand on more than one occasion, which made putting her down next to impossible, but she was loving the feel of it between her fingers. Cute? Sure. But trying to wipe sand off a babies hand is harder than it sounds.

The nieces love the beach more than any children I know. Katie was in the ocean for about 99% of the time and BethAnne wasn't far behind but in the shallower pool.

Cooper, being a dog and all, would stay at the beach all day if he could. He's a big fan of water and fortunately, this year, he didn't swallow much (which makes for a VERY long and sleepless night if you catch my drift.). We let him play in his pool too - which I think is one of his most favorite things in the world.

And, as promised, here are picture of Nana and Emma during her visit to DC a few weeks ago.

Gotta run, munchkin is up from her nap. I'll post more updates later on. Love to all!
